The infamous 'Zizzou'
I'm a bit slow off the mark with this, but I feel it's still worth a mention (if only because it's hiliarious that I've managed to put the words 'Owen Wilson' in a blog about shoes).
In an odd turn of events, the most covetable trainer of the moment is one that’s not actually on sale anywhere. It comes courtesy of Wes Anderson’s latest film, ‘The Life Aquatic With Steve Zizzou’, where it’s worn by Bill Murray, Owen Wilson, Cate Blanchett and Co. The obsessive need to get hold of these shoes has resulted not only in a set of DIY tips on how to create your own, but also a petition to Adidas (which already has almost 600 names on it) via Coolhunting. The whole thing escalated when USA Today picked up on the story, and if a few more of us make a fuss, maybe the shoe will actually get made. Be prepared for a waiting list as long as the petition, though.
