Shoewawa's going to London Fashion Week! The most important week in the London style calendar begins on Sunday morning, and we're off to check out the shows, explore the exhbitions and report back for you! Make sure you make Shoewawa your first port of call next week as we've got live reports from London before the newspapers have even gone to print! Not only will you get the top shoe news on Shoewawa, but Gemma will be reporting on fashion, trends and general gossip via her LFW blog on Catwalk Queen, too. And if you're very lucky, there might even be a special new project from camp Shiny, too...we spoil you, we really do!
Ok. So it's fairly clear that the Gina Tatiana shoes (top right and bottom left) are the most beautiful of these options. But when it's a choice between spending £315 or £15 on a pair of shoes you just know are going to rip apart the skin between your toes, we know which ones we'd go for. Cheap copies are everywhere, top left are a bronze version for £21, and bottom right, bargain £15 rip-offs that you can wear once and chuck away.
If you like Dr Scholls, you'll love these! Art & Sole are giving the classic calf-toning slides a couture touch with hand-painted designs all over the soles. We thought these pretty heart ones were apt with Valentines Day just around the corner, but there are also flowers, butterflies and various other pretty designs to choose from. Flat sandals are £99, and limited edition heeled ones are £125, Expensive, but as they're hand-painted, no two are alike.
The attendees of the Brit Awards 25 have obviously been taking style tips not only from us (*coughjameliacough*) but from those Yanks at the Golden Globes. Yet again, the red carpet was awash with metallic shoes. Most obvious were the Girls Aloud ladies in their co-ordinating strappy sandals, gold & white outfits and St Tropez tans. Joss Stone, who usually doesn't even wear shoes, showed everyone up in jewelled boho gold, and Lisa Snowdon matched her gold sandals to her gorgeous bag. Finally, Danni Minogue also decided to go for gold. Our fave high-street metallics for copying this look are these Nine West 'Byways' croc strappies at $75.
We’re feeling very smug at the moment. It’s not every day Jamelia takes style tips from you. So come on, princess of UK R&B, are you a Shoewawa reader? Because no sooner have we got everyone oohing and aaahing over the £360 Jimmy Choo ‘Macy’ shoes with their mini platforms and killer heels, than we find you wearing them to the Brits (and looking stunning, as usual). Meawhile, fellow R&B diva Alesha Dixon strutted her stuff in killer mules, which we believe to be Gina's 'Jemma' design (£345, left).
It's here. A pretty, delicate Summer wedge shoe to wear with more feminine outfits. If you're having trouble latching onto this whole 'wedge' trend, (aren't we all) consider this an easy introduction. It comes in black or pink suede for $108 from Banana Republic. Once you've got used to the wedge, It'll only be a matter of time before you're swooning over those stripey Marc Jacobs espadrilles (which, while we're on the subject, are available in the UK from Net-a-Porter).
