Do not adjust your monitor. This really is a shoe with a poncho wrapped around it. The 'Just Out' range is (and I quote) 'Inspired by the house arrest of Martha Stewart'. The reason for the crotchet nightmare? It covers that 'unsightly' house arrest bracelet. For the first time in my life, I'm completely lost for words.

Anthropologie's $328 'Prince Charming' heels are the epitome of the love / hate shoe. You'll either be staring at them in disgust, wondering why they're not tomorrow's ugly shoe of the week, or you'll be half smiling and trying to work out what it is about these shoes that's so fabulous. Quite possibly it's the fact that they have little brass and glass frog on the back. Now that's what we call quirky detail!
The self-indulgent shoe of the day comes in the form of XOXO's brilliantly named 'Wiggle' ($69). There's not much to be said about this one that isn't obvious. It's pink, it's strappy, it's indecently high heeled, and if your ankles are anything bigger than miniscule it'll make you look like a heifer. But don't let that stop you. It's still very pretty...
Allesandra Faccinetti, predecessor to Tom Ford as womenswear director at Gucci has just left the company after presenting only two collections. Frida Giannini (previously in charge of the accessories side of the brand - that's 83% of all Gucci sales) is to take her place. That means you need to snap up her accessories while they still exist. She's come up with a stunning range of floral printed shoes decorated with Gucci's signature snaffles this season, like these open-toe slingbacks. Get 'em while they're hot, who knows who'll be designing the shoes next season?

I remember talking about Luc Berjen shoes way back when, and how they're the only wedges that get me properly excited. The good news if you love them as much as I do is that Viva La Diva are now stocking the line, including my dream shoe, the 'Polly' (£159). The leather and fabric wedge comes in this Summer's 'Indian' fabric (I must confess I liked last years' green polka dots more) in three colourways. There's also a great suede court with a wedge.
She may be plastered all over the advertising campaign as the sneaker-wearing All-American (who was born in England)
but we're finding it very hard to believe that the O.C's Mischa Barton really wears Keds in real life. Somehow it seems a bit difficult to imagine the boring flat sneakers she wears in the ads with her wardrobe of Matthew Williamson and Sass & Bide. Perhaps she wears these $45.95 Keds 'Knack' flatties
with her Seven for All Mankind jeans. That we could just about believe.
If you're a fan of quirky little flatties, you'll probably love Neet, who you could say carry on where Irregular Choice left off. From ankle strap flats with 3D kittens on the front to pink floral heels with corsages, there's something for everyone's inner exhibitionist. These floral pumps with dragonflies on are the £60 'Maida' style.
