Gap Scarf Shoe

ScarfshoeThough you've got to applaud them for being imaginative, it's quite possible that those lovely peeps at Gap (who make such lovely bags...) might have tried a bit too hard this time. This is their new scarf shoe. It's basically a one inch wedge with three loops on it, through which you thread scarves to make strappy sandals. The sandals themselves are $39.50 (with one pair of scarves). Additional scarves will then set you back $8.50 a pair in a variety of prints. Great idea...shame they're a bit ugly.

Faith Does Burberry

Bluebp
Ahhh, we love a bit of cheap 'designer inspired' footwear, and nobody does the catwalk rip-off it better than Faith. On your left are the stars of the Burberry Prorsum Spring / Summer collection, blue and white printed wedges with ankle straps (we can't even find them for sale online). On the right are the Faith equivalent at £35. Spot the difference.

Gola Ballet Pumps

Golaballet_1 They've got the comfort factor of a pair of trainers, but they're girlie enough to be worn with skirts (denim ones, at least). The Gods of Gola have struck gold again with these ballet pumps.  At less than £25, you can't argue with a bargain like this. They also come in a pink & red or blue & green combo. Just don't wear them in the rain (they're satin, your feet get soaked, I speak from experience...)

YSL Does Marabou

Yslpink You know those marabou topped mules that playboy bunnies and Ann Summers models (and Mariah Carey) always seem to wear? You can now take the look into evening wear without it looking like you've forgotten to change out of your slippers (much). $535 will get you the Yves Saint Laurent 'Eva Plume' satin sandals. They're pink, they're neck-breakingly high, and they have a big feathery pom-pom affair on the front. You may scoff, but don't forget the fashionista of the moment is Miss Piggy.

Doing The Polka

BluepolkaThese are Jean-Michel Cazabat's 'Omayra-Pois' blue polka dot strappy sandals. Admit it, you love them. These are exactly the kind of shoes you see, fall in love with, waste a few hundred on ($398.95, to be precise), only to get home and find they go with absolutely nothing in your wardrobe. Normal people see that as a mistake. Shoe people see it as a reason to go out and buy a new dress. Might I suggest Chloe...just to bankrupt you completely.

Ugly Shoe Of The Week #3

Ugly3 It's that time again! Ugly Shoes. Admit it, you love to stare at them in horror, you love that moment when your jaw drops in disbelief that anyone would actually buy them. This week's shoe is a real stunner, the Carly T-Bar from Office (who can usually do no wrong). Feast your eyes on the heel on this baby! I have five words for you all. There. Is. Just No. Need.
