Ugly Shoe of The Week #4

Uglycork I cannot take credit for finding this monstrosity of ugly shoe-ness. It comes courtesy of Fabulous Girl, who put it perfectly by saying this is just 'a wedge too far'. If it wasn't enough that the wedge / platform combo are so high you run the risk of doing a Naomi and falling flat on your face, what is going on with all that cork? Still, I suppose it could be worse. They could have used perspex.

Okay. These shoes are EVERYWHERE in the stores here in the Chicago IL area of USA. Ugh. Ugly! You are doing us ALL such a great service by making the ugly-factor known. People: Stop buying these!!!

I think my Mom wore these back in '74. And that's the decade they should stay in.

I'm having a flashback to the Spice Girls...

Their perfect for the office. The heel doubles as a bulletin board.

Those are really ugly. Way too tall and yes, I was thinking Spice Girls too! True, it's good for the office as a bulletin board, yuck.

Well... if you ever fell into a large puddle while wearing those shoes - you'd float.

So glad there's a lifeguard in the group! Thanks for the link, shoewawa.

Wrong, wrong, wrong. This shoe is not at all ugly, you must be out of your mind! The contoured wedge is the best I've seen this season, and it avoids looking heavy despite the dramatic height. We all need to re-evaluate what makes an exciting shoe after so many fine-pointed stilettos have coloured the judgement. I love the cork effect upper- where can they be found in England ? - seriously ,we need to know!

Well, these are the kind of shoes I love. They make my legs look less tree-trunkish, and allow me to see more at concerts. I adore wearing big shoes with even bigger flares. AND I love the cork. AND I can walk in these kind of shoes (all be it carefully and hanging onto things along the way). God bless these shoes!
