Kenneth Cole has come up with the perfect wedding shoes
. They've got just the right heel, the shape is simple and timeless, and they're not extortionately overpriced at $135 (if you're ever going to splash out on a good pair of shoes, make them your big day heels). The only problem? We can't help thinking calling them 'Endless Love' is asking for trouble...
There are times when even I look at a pair of shoes and think 'how on earth would you walk in those?'. Take this MIA 'Out Of Time' sandal at $60.95
, a great example of a style that continues to amaze me. The stiletto slide - so prolific in hip-hop music videos and on playboy bunnies - will always be a mystery to me. As cute as it may be for the 5 metre trip from the sun lounger to the bar on holiday, how on earth did Jessica Simpson manage to push a trolley round the supermarket in her Diors?

I always think that with all the time I spend looking at shoes each day, I must have seen it all by now. But then I come across things like this, and get proved spectacularly wrong. You can now get yourself a pair of scented flip flops from La Redoute. Do you fancy mint, jasmine or rose? Or perhaps green apple is more your thing? At only £5.85 a pair, you could get them all. God knows what happens if you get them wet, though.
Mocassins may be yesterday's news, but I still can't help loving these bronze Enzo Angiolini numbers from Nine West. They're reduced to $39.99 in the sale, so even if you wear them as nothing more than slippers, it's worth giving up that daily starbucks trip for a week to get them. Mark my words, it won't be long before mocs come back into fashion, and you'll be one step ahead because these will be nicely worn in.
I'm having a very good catwalk copycat day today. Yet again I've managed to stumble across a high street copy that more than competes with its designer inspiration. River Island's bronze strappy T-bars spruce up Miu Miu's coloured stone sandals with the addition of a Georgina Goodman-esque stacked wood heel and a less-than-fifty-quid price tag. It's your choice. £49.99 for metallic leather or $360 for brown suede?
It's not often when I do these designer vs high street comparisons that I actually prefer the cheaper shoe, but in the case of these jewelled flip-flops, I'd be much happier sipping cocktails at the beach bar in a £35 pair of ASOS sandals (right) than Jimmy Choo's $630 option (left). The cheaper option even comes in a choice of colours (black, silver or tan).
