Dolce & Gabbana Knot Heels

Dgknot_1The majority of Dolce & Gabbana's Summer footwear range is made up of python courts and towering wooden heeled mules, but in amongst the catwalk finds are some gorgeous classics. These bronze and brown leather knot detail sandals come with the same metal logo hardware and killer heel as the more ostentatious designs, but everything is more pared down. Unsurprisingly, wearability costs - $449, to be exact.

Killah 80s

80skillahLook everyone! The eighties are back, and they bought their shoes with them! Killah's 'helmet' shoes (£60) are perfect for dancing around to Duran Duran and pretending you're Molly Ringwald in 'Pretty In Pink' (or if you were cool, Madonna in 'Desperately Seeking Susan'). Now where did I put my Jem & The Holograms t-shirt?

Raindrops on Roses...

Wedgy_1It's not widely known, but when she was done making Lederhosen for the children, Maria Von Trapp started up a business making shoes for Go Jane. Ok, that's not entirely true, but these 'Wedgy' wedges ($23.99) do look a bit like they were made from an old pair of curtains, don't they? What's even more strange is that I quite like them despite that. Shame the wedge is too ankle-breakingly high even for me.

Dance for Less

Dancecopies
Remember the Pucci 'Dance' runway sandals I mentioned a couple of months ago? The over-the-top scarf tie wedges (left) are a bit too extravagant at $450 a pair, especially considering you'd only wear them once or twice. However, if you do want to give the look a go this Summer, Faith's 'Holey' sandals (right) are almost identical and much more affordable at £45 a pair. They also come in a blue/green colourway.

(thanks to Holly for the reminder)

Spot The Difference

Toeloops
It's funny how having Lindsay Lohan and Jessica Simpson as patrons suddenly allows a shop to hike up prices by almost $50. The gold leather toe-loops on the left are $78 at celeb haunt Intuition. The gold leather toe-loops on the right are £18 at Faith. Who's going to know the difference, really?
