Chinese Laundry 'Vegas'

VegaswedgeIf you're after a throwaway buy for the Summer, you won't get a shoe that combines all the key looks for less than this one. Chinese Laundry's 'Vegas' sandal ($67.95) has a platform wedge (but not too chunky) and a metallic python-embossed leather and suede upper. It comes in various colourways, but the silver looks the best. A warning though; the covering on the wedge will get grubby very quickly so invest in a decent suede cleaner (and don't wear them in the rain).

River Island were doing these last year - absolutely identical, except the heels were about an inch higher and the colourways were different - black/green python and brown/gold python. I knew I'd seen them somewhere before - in my wardrobe!

i have these in silver, and i love them completely. a word of warning, though: the elastic on the buckle broke very quickly (on both shoes), and when i had them repaired, they broke again immediately.
