Terry Treats

Terrywedge
Looks like Kimora's been taking style tips from Jimmy Choo. The Baby Phat 'terry wedge thong' is a blatant copy of the 'Poppy' towelling wedge. The original was created by the Jimmy Choo brand for those heel-loving ladies-who-lunch to wear to and from the nail salon after that weekly pedicure, or while lounging by the pool on that winter cruise. At £195/$295 (from Net-a-Porter) they're definitely an extravagance. The Baby Phat copies are reduced to a far more acceptable $37.50, and come in khaki, coral or black.

Frankly, blatant copy or not, both incarnations are a great example of those shoes our children will look back on in 20 years time and say - "OH - MY - GOD! - Did they?" They are the epitome of naff - and a rare example of Choo going off the rails. Kimora you expect this kind of thing from, and maybe it would be more plausible, as well as a future face-saver for Choo, if she'd claimed to have invented them, not the other way round. Worst of all in my book - they look cheap, but obviously aren't.
