Ugly Bootie Of The Week

Uglylegw_1 I never dreamed it was possible. Someone, somewhere, has come up with a boot that is even uglier than the Mukluk, and even less flattering than the Ugg. The 'Sweater' boots ($65) definitely live up to their name. Like an evil cross between a legwarmer and a bootie, they have knitted uppers and rubber soles. Please, if you buy them, wear them inside only. Don't subject the rest of us to the ugliness, no matter how warm and comfy they are.

Bertie are also doing a similar boot called patchwork, and as well as looking a costume for a peasant in robin hood prince of thieves, havbe been commented on as incredibly uncomfortable.

Interestingly, these look like a pair of Peruvian moutainclimbing shoes (yes, such a thing exist. They were $15 in Yorkville) that I had when I was fifteen. They were a godsend during the winter, when I wore them around the house with my flannel pajamas, but I would have broken my own ankles before allowing myself out of the house in them.
