The shoe on the left is Rene Caovilla's Embellished Mesh Pump and the shoe on the right is Viva La Diva's Beaded Ankle Strap Shoe. Now whilst I can see that these aren't a direct copy, they are definitely similar in more than one way. However, I'm not going for identical here, I'm looking at the style and colour and then talking about the difference in price, because that's the big surprise here. The Rene Caovilla's are a jaw dropping $900, whereas the Viva La Diva's are £25. That's a massive saving for what is the same basic shoe design. No, you won't be able to pass off VLD's as real designer shoes, but you'll get the same look for a much more bank manager friendly price. [Toni Stokes]
