I would like to draw your attention to some very wonderful brocade shoes by Bettye Muller. She used to design these horribly orthopedic looking shoes, but seems to have made amazing progress into some extremely stylish shoes. Brocade shoes would look great with the whole black/ dark Russian look. It really gives off an "empire" feel.
