Ugly Shoe Of The Week

Santanafug_1These 'Stir' sandals from Carlos by Carlos Santana once cost almost $90 a pair. Who the hell would pay $90 for these? The cheap looking heels, the naff print (on leather, not satin), the fact that they'd go with absolutely nothing...even at their reduced price of $58.99 they scream 'fugly'. I'm sure someone will love them, but as far as we're concerned they're a prime example of why Carlos Santana should have stuck to playing guitar.

How do you tell a "cheap looking heel" from an expensive, designer one? What is it about the heel that gives it away?

well in this case it's the fact that it doesn't seem to match the shoe properly. A good heel should fit seamlessly onto the shoe - this one looks like it's been superglued on last minute.
