more af a nay, it looks like the ankle is a bit chunky. If thats the look then fine, but I prefer a slimmer silhouette.

Yay. Definitely yay.

NAY NAY NAY
Posted by: sophie rose | September 21, 2005 4:14 PM
Yummy, yummy, yay yay yay! I'd buy these in a heartbeat. The girl who runs StyleDiary has them and they look fantastic with everything she puts together -- much more versatile than you'd think.

Yuck, nay. The metallics trend has left me largely cold--it reminds me of tacky women walking around Wal-Mart in Arkansas in the early 80s.

Yay to style, but not crazy about the gold. They come in a slightly metallic graphite grey, much tougher looking then the gold. But, for $800 plus, I'll settle for the Miss Sixty cuff boots, or better yet, a vintage 70s pair off ebay.

Yay! These are just fab! I love the boots but have you seen the pink and blue suede ones also from Marc Jacobs...if you like these then you are just going to die when you see them, they are heaven. YAY!
Posted by: Chloe | September 21, 2005 4:54 PM
That's true, the StyleDiary girl has them and she works them into her outfits seamlessly... I also know another woman with these that successfully and beautifully wears them, but with both women it seems as if it already requires a certain "style" or wardrobe.
Nay for me. I'll take the money on a vacation.

Nay. I agree with Brandy about the chunky ankle - this is a boot for a woman with no ankles and no calves, see how straight it is? And it wants to be western, with that different texture across the foot, and the shape of the toe, but no respectable western boot comes in bronze.

Yay to the colour, but Nay to the style. It's simply not interesting enough.
Posted by: Heather | September 21, 2005 5:40 PM
yay! they are beau!
Posted by: Holly | September 21, 2005 6:32 PM
Yay! They're prettty and actually look quite wearable.
Posted by: Lauren | September 21, 2005 8:00 PM
Blech! Nay! I agree with Brandy and OliviaCW. That's what we call "cankles," when the calf and ankle bercome one, and who wants something that promotes it? And Metallics are the new Florescent, and I'm so over it.
Posted by: Heidi | September 21, 2005 8:21 PM
No thanks. The stacked wood heel on this boot is what kills it for me. It's like bling meets banal...
Posted by: Artchicken | September 21, 2005 8:42 PM
NAY! NAY! NAY! Those boots are wretched! Besides the fact that that are an un-Godly $840, they have no shape and remind me of a wooden puppet's legs.
Posted by: Peggy | September 21, 2005 8:43 PM
YAY !!!!!!
these boots would lift any outfit
Posted by: julia | September 21, 2005 8:50 PM
Yay : they'll look great with a nice boho dress for an evening out...
Posted by: Clem | September 21, 2005 9:08 PM
YAY!
Posted by: sanna | September 21, 2005 9:09 PM
Nay! The heels are blah and the color is scary.
Posted by: MJ | September 21, 2005 10:09 PM
Yay! You could wear these every day. The metallic color looks smart but neutral enough to go with all kinds of things. I love the vintage-y wooden heels.
Posted by: circus | September 21, 2005 11:10 PM
Hrm... I would say nay. The style is ok, but I don't like the color.
Posted by: Katrina | September 22, 2005 12:26 AM
Nay. Boring.
Posted by: Mindy W. | September 22, 2005 1:34 AM
I say a big Yay, I think these boots are fab - how could you not love them - colour is perfect and they look very versatile.
Posted by: Emmy | September 22, 2005 6:27 AM
Nay. Can't say it is ugly but I won't buy it even it is only $30.
Posted by: sasa | September 22, 2005 2:49 PM
The style is nothing to do with having 'cankles'. It's called fashion - obviously some people wouldn't know it if it came and kicked them up the ass. Have you not seen all of the supermodels sporting these? They certainly don't have cankles thank you very much!
In answer to the question yay yay yay, they are delish
Posted by: Melody | September 22, 2005 5:30 PM
NAY - Gladiator glam they most certainly are NOT. The boots' styling is mediocre, and the bronze just makes it look like its trying way too hard. True fashion victims might succumb to this, but as far as I'm concerned, its way down there with the crocheted poncho :)
Posted by: Mamu | September 22, 2005 5:45 PM
Nay, the shape of the calf doesn't meld well with the foot and heel, they look lumpen.
Posted by: Kebabette | September 24, 2005 4:17 AM
Nay. So Ned Kelly. Models wear them? So what. They're the original fashion victims. Nay, Nay, Nay!
Posted by: Nomes | September 25, 2005 5:40 AM
awesome boots!! yay!!
Posted by: *iVy | September 26, 2005 6:41 AM
Nomes, my point about models was not about their fashion sense as that would be naíve of anyone to state one entire group of people dress well/not so well. My point was about their lack of 'cankles' if you can read. Hence my that these boots aren't just for people with no ankles, thank you very much. I'd just like to clarify that for the dimmer readers of this blog.
Posted by: Melody | September 27, 2005 3:53 PM
Oh, Nay. Big time Nay. Soo Nay!
Posted by: TS | October 3, 2005 12:02 PM
Half yay half nay. In a different coulor or even slightly more metallic I'll say YAY but witht hat colour nay.
Posted by: Angel | October 3, 2005 12:12 PM
I admit I'm a marc jacobs shoe and handbag addict, but unless you have a certain savoir faire, these are a definite nay
