Yay or Nay Wednesday #7

Yaynay7Did you think I'd forgotten today was Yay or Nay day? Would I do that to you? Taking tips from the success over at The Bag Lady, this time I'm not going to tell you who made the shoes, or how much they cost, so you can really judge purely on looks. God, we're shallow people, aren't we! Obviously, if you know who made them, please don't ruin everyone else's fun. I'll reveal all next week. These pointy, two-tone blue heels - Yay or Nay, and why?

Yay, even though I would never buy them. My scrawny little ankles would snap at my first misstep.

Yay! They are cute

Posted by: Ashley | October 26, 2005 11:12 PM

YAY YAY YAY!!! I actually have a less expensive, knock off pair that I love, and GOOD GODS, the men love them, too!

Posted by: Heidi | October 27, 2005 12:05 AM

Yay, because they're nice, but I don't like the buckle...

Posted by: Clem | October 27, 2005 12:28 AM

Nay#2,3,4 None of them are practical nor do they offer the "fun" factor to warrant the price. Even the sandal @ $50.00 does not seem worth it. They are not shoes you can easily picture yourself wearing.
#5 Yay! Pretty neutral tone that can be dressed up or down. They would look great w/ jeans or a black cocktail dress.
#6 Nay Much too pointy! Besides having "ugly feet" after two hours of wear, a rounder toe would make it a much prettier shoe!!!

Nay. I saw this shoe at Neimans it looks better in pictures.

Posted by: Amara | October 27, 2005 12:50 AM

Yay! I think they're really cute, but I could never walk in something like that.

Posted by: Trisha | October 27, 2005 1:08 AM

Nay. It seems that there is too much going on in this shoe. The point, the two-tone and a gold buckle.

Posted by: Annette | October 27, 2005 2:03 AM

Yay! These are quite cute, although not really my style.

Posted by: Carla | October 27, 2005 2:17 AM

Yay! I love the color and the mix of snakeskin the velvet.

Posted by: Chelsea | October 27, 2005 2:17 AM

Yay!! Great cut. I would rather see plain leather than snakeskin, but still an awesome shoe.

Posted by: slyone | October 27, 2005 2:49 AM

Nay. That buckle is ruining the whole look of it for me.

Posted by: Soon | October 27, 2005 7:19 AM

Hmm yay but I would prefer it to be either a whole snakeskin shoe or a whole velvet shoe. Otherwise i'm loving the whole pointy shoe thing and I rejoice in their return to the top of the shoe tree!

Blenheim Road here... we have 2 nays and 1 yay for this shoe!

The nays don't like the two fabrics, or the strap, or the heel!

Posted by: Jenbob | October 27, 2005 11:52 AM

Yay! I love them - real sexy but probably way to expensive and beyond my reach!!

Posted by: Lynn | October 27, 2005 12:19 PM

First Impression: YAY! I really don't care for the snakeskin/velvet combo, but I like the design and I love the pointy toe and the buckle.

Posted by: Linda | October 27, 2005 1:40 PM

nay, i definately wouldn't buy them, i'm not keen on the colour or the buckle. and i dont normally care about practicality but how the hell would you walk in them when you were in a hurry??

Posted by: mimi | October 27, 2005 2:03 PM

Nay ... that buckle just ruins the look for me ... too big and ugly!

Posted by: MelC | October 27, 2005 2:10 PM

eurgh. The buckle looks like faux denim! Nay!

Posted by: Shelly | October 27, 2005 2:14 PM

Yay: this pair of shoes offer great support for the feet, suitable for walking and it's steady. the style's pretty classy.

Nay: the matt gold buckle doesn't suit the interior and the blueness of the heel and pointy part don't match.

Posted by: kimfluttersby | October 27, 2005 2:17 PM

Yay!!, Classy, I would definitely stop and try them, but probably I wont buy them. Ambiguous... I know...

Posted by: Jess | October 27, 2005 2:47 PM

I'm torn. It's a YA-NAY from me. The colour combination is quite appealling, but like many others, the buckle is just not working for me. It looks incongrous, out of place, just wrong! A simple and classy gold one would've worked better.

Posted by: fiona | October 27, 2005 5:01 PM

one word...Nay!

Posted by: Chloe | October 27, 2005 5:06 PM

It's a slight nay. I don't hate them, but the heel is a bit too high and skinny, the fabric front seems too fragile to be so close to the ground, and the snakeskin is a weird not-too-pleasant color. Besides, I am on a round-toe rampage recently.

Posted by: Tara | October 27, 2005 9:03 PM

Yay to the front - love the colour and shape - but nay to the back - clashes and agree the buckle is vile. So a nay overall!

Posted by: Paul | October 27, 2005 10:33 PM

Nay. The strap and the buckle doesn't match the elegant front. It looks weird!

Posted by: sasa | October 28, 2005 4:39 AM

Nay, definitely nay! Velvet or snakeskin, but please not both! And to be honest, never really was a great fan of the pointy thing... And I'm not even going to mention the buckle, since, well...

Posted by: martolina | October 28, 2005 10:27 PM

I love them, but my feet wouldn't :( Still a YAY from me. If they had a less pointy toe, and little lower heel they'd be fab.

Posted by: Kelly | October 29, 2005 4:56 PM

Tacky. Nay.

Posted by: angel | October 31, 2005 6:16 PM

Yay this is a very business like shoe and it also can be worn when someone is just going out. I would wear this shoe

Posted by: CeCe | November 10, 2005 7:32 PM
