It may be December in only a few days, but I'm still finding it difficult to grasp the fact that we're so close to entering 2006. Where did the last year go? The shops are already filling up with Spring stock and since it hurts to see so many gorgeous sandals when it's snowing outside, the latest Jimmy Choo's to hit the pages of Bergdorf Goodman's website are a welcome diversion as they at least have closed toes. These stunning satin D'Orsays are $565.

Shoewawa's not the only Shiny site celebrating a birthday this month, you know! Shiny Media celebrates its first anniversary today with the news that November is on target to be our biggest and best month so far. Across our network of 14 blogs we look set to record 1.5 million page impressions in 30 days, over 1 million of them unique visitors.
But that’s not all. In the latest Google page rankings – a measure by which higher quality sites receive a higher score - our sites have all performed exceptionally well. Shiny Shiny – the world’s leading girls’ gadget blog – is the only UK consumer electronics website to have a ranking of 7/10 for its home page. That’s higher than T3, Crave (CNet), Pocket-Lint and Stuff.
This Thursday also sees the return of the Telewest Shiny Awards in which readers and top industry journalists decide on the best and worst gadgets on the market. Thanks for all your support in making this last 12 months so exciting. And look out for new launches from the rapidly expanding Shiny Media network over the next few months.
There's lots of 40s-inspired fashion on the high street (and indeed on the catwalks) this season, so what better excuse does a girl need to invest in some cutesy pin-up girl pumps? These ones, from the aptly named Pin Up Girl Clothing, are available in two colours of polka dot grosgrain for $42 (pink as shown, and black and white). There's limited availability though, so don't hang around if you want a pair.
The Louis Vuitton balmoral was one of the stand-out shoes of last Winter, and the high street still aren't letting go of the girlie pleated pump. Debut at Debenhams have given the look a makeover with a pointed toe to replace the rounded one and a gorgeously festive gold satin upper. Grab a pair before they sell out for a bargain £35.
If you've been visiting our sister site, Catwalk Queen (and why wouldn't you?) you'll know that teal is the latest colour to be seen in, so it's no surprise that footwear is cropping up everywhere in this new colour du jour. These slouchy boots are a bit of a bargain at only £35 from ASOS. Obviously they're not leather at a price like that, but since we'll all probably be swapping teal for royal blue or acid green in six months' time, does it really matter?
