What Gemma Saw...

Uglyupdate_1I knew it was a mistake to go into TK Maxx yesterday (yes, there's a 'K' in the UK version), but the promise of Paper Denim & Cloth jeans for £20 was too much. Sadly, I had to suffer the distress of witnessing this in order to get my beloved denims. Luckily for you, I had my trusty cameraphone at hand so you all get to go through the terror with me. You will remember the 'Helsinki' boots from Animal, of course, as an Ugly Shoe Of The Week favourite. And I hate to tell you all this, but it seems like they're multiplying.

I've been scarred for life, I swear.

Oh my god! Thank you for posting these fugly boots on this page!! These are actually the very first shoes that I find unbearable to look at (on this page). These are no doubt extremely fu**ing ugly!! However, they were actually popular here in Toronto last winter! I saw so many stupid "trendy" girls wear them! They look so disgusting and dumb with the fur. I swear, if I just saw the boots without seeing the person's body, I would think it's some grizzly bear standing in front of me! Eeeeeekkkkk!!!!!

I was in town shopping with a friend when I bumped into one of my friend's work collegues. She proudly showed us these beauties 'just got these bargains from tk maxx'. ugh, i swear i shuddered at these big foot monsters. i almost squealed at her. i am still repulsed - if you see these close up you are in for a shock.

  • Amy, I wouldn't be able to keep a straight face if someone came up to buy those boots!

That said, I found a pair of Versace jeans stilettos in the same store for £25, so that more than cancelled out the fugly boots!

Ew. I work in a tk maxx and we have some hideous shoes, including those boots, luckily the people I work with are not blind enough to put them on a feature stand like that! Its great working there to find all these gorgous designer shoes/clothes for cheap prices so I guess when we get shoes like that its just to balance it out hehe. I have to admit theres been many many times when Ive been putting out shoes and thought in my head 'oh god no! i HAVE to take a photo and send it in to shoewawa, its just so ugly!'.

Its even worse having to serve customers buying the monstrosities.
