Yay or Nay Wednesday #15

Yaynay15 It was a resounding 'Yay' from those of you who voted on last week's Topshop boots (and who can blame you). This week I've gone to the other extreme with this formal pump with a mid heel. Is the mixture of boucle, patent and grosgrain too much, or do you love the mixed textures in this chic little number? Cast your votes as usual and I'll reveal the details next week. Yay or Nay, and why?

Yay! They're beautiful!

A half-hearted yay. They would be nice for a semi-formal event, but I can't help thinking they are too pointy to be comfortable.

YAY!!! BRAVO!!! I love these shoes. They must be mine.

I'm really on the fence with this one. I love a classic shoe with a twist, such as the three materials being used together in this one, but the porportion of the heel height to the length of the shoe is just a little off for me. So I think this one will have to be a nay.

Do you really think so, Joanna? This length/heel combo gives me that 1960s sexy secretary vibe. I love them (and I'm no secretary.)

Nay from me, the sides look ratty and the bow looks like its been hot-glue-gunned on at the last minute.

Ahdorable, but i have a problema with the furry looking sides. They look like something my cat threw up! Overall a yay thogh, because they are a cute classic nuetral style. They would look great with a pair black pants long enough to cover the ugly part

I. Am. In. LOVE!!! Sexy classy. Definite Yay! *sigh*

Crap, the nays are going to lose here, but I'm NAYING.

It's trying to straddle the line between edgy and classic, and it's not doing a good job. I'd pass this by in a shoestore. Nope.

A slight NAY. If they were all patent-leather or all boucle (minus the grograin bow, I do like that), it would be a yay, because I love the shape, but it just looks strange, like two shoes combined.

Yay, this shoe just oozes class, elegance, sex and sophistication. Yummy.

Posted by: Melody | December 22, 2005 9:22 AM

Yay - they're cute. The shape is a bit conservative for my usual tastes, and the heel could do with being a little higher, but I'm a sucker for anything shiny with a bow, and I really like the contrasts between the different materials.

I had to mull this over, but I think it's a Nay. I'm not sure the patent and the boucle work... a bit like something my Auntie would wear and think were fabulous.

Posted by: Kat | December 22, 2005 9:46 AM

Oh I have become Kats auntie because i do think they're fab! Yay - very fab and holly golightly!

Posted by: Deb | December 22, 2005 5:40 PM

Yay - I don't adore them, but these are a nice twist on the classic (boring?) black pump.

Posted by: circus | December 22, 2005 9:22 PM

YAY! Very cute and sexy too.

Posted by: Cherry | December 24, 2005 3:16 PM

I'd have to say YAY... I love them!! Can't wait for the reveal because I have to find them.

Posted by: Kelly | December 25, 2005 4:29 AM

Most def. YAY!
I love them.

nay, these look geriatric, and the nubby texture on the side, bleck
