Mohop
This is one for the Hippyshoppers among you! These funky Mohop Shoes are handmade by designer Annie Mohaupt. The wooden sandals have rubber soles made from recycled tires, finnish birch cores, and various veneer uppers. The footbeds are screenprinted with Annie's original designs, and each sandal comes with a selection of grosgrain ribbons that can be used to fasten the shoes in numerous ways using the loops on the side. They sell for $150 a pair in three heel heights at Mohop.com, and if you'd love to extend your ethical shopping all the way to your feet, they're perfect!

  • They are so cool. I found her site a few weeks ago, and they are so unique!

  • I'd imagine with soles made out of old tires they'll take a fair bit of wear and tear. Think what a car goes through every day!
