Yaynay22I'm really spoiling you with all the interaction today. Of course, you're always encouraged to comment on posts, but with the new 'Play The Shoe Stylist' feature and Yay or Nay Wednesday, you're not getting away without saying something to me today! After last week's special fashion week Yay or Nay it's back to buisiness as usual this week. Awaiting your votes this week are these tie fronted round-toe heels. Yay or Nay, and why?

NAY!

Posted by: ashley | February 15, 2006 5:54 PM

Yay! The tie is great, and the heel is just right.

Posted by: Jordan | February 15, 2006 5:56 PM

Yay, they're just different enough without being too crazy to actually be worn out!

Posted by: Anna | February 15, 2006 6:00 PM

Nay - the tie is cute, but the rest of the shoe is just a little too conservative in comparison. They need a slimmer heel, maybe a little peep toe, a better colour?

Posted by: Ally | February 15, 2006 6:11 PM

Hm; yay--it'd be a shoe you could keep wearing after bows become so last season, and it's well-proportioned in general.

Posted by: K | February 15, 2006 6:18 PM

My God, I want them, I must have them. So, er, yay.

Posted by: Mary | February 15, 2006 6:24 PM

Hmm... Yay, especially if the bow could be made to be interchangeable. It has a bit of a character shoe feel to it, but I think it could work well as a work outfit shoe.

Posted by: Alix | February 15, 2006 6:27 PM

NAY !!!!
they look like my grandmothers tap shoes...

they would be great if you were doing a 1940's style
show !!!

love the red shoes

Posted by: sarah | February 15, 2006 7:17 PM

Ugh, I can never make up my mind on these things. I'm gonna go with YAY this time. They're cute, I like the bow and the sort of dancer feel I get from them. If nothing else they'd be cute with jeans covering up most of the shoe.

Posted by: Christina | February 15, 2006 7:50 PM

I guess yay. Sort of. Hmmm.

Posted by: Mindy | February 15, 2006 7:56 PM

Definitely yay. The character of the shoe is both coy and cocky, speaking of the sweet country woman with the badass whip hidden somewhere around her person.

Posted by: Adalmin | February 15, 2006 7:56 PM

nay.

Posted by: aja | February 15, 2006 8:50 PM

Nay for me. They look outdated and matronly to me. Even the tie/bow cannot save these!

Posted by: iheartpink | February 15, 2006 9:30 PM

Yay! these are the sweetest little shoes :) But I wish that the color was just an itty bit better...

Posted by: Lingping | February 15, 2006 9:43 PM

YAY!!!
Oh and about this "especially if the bow could be made to be interchangeable."
It can they can be worn conservative for work and you can slip in a silk ribbon for cocktails after .... i should know...i have them...and work at the shop that sells them!

Posted by: nat | February 15, 2006 10:18 PM

Definite NAY. That stitching or layering is completely out of place, the bow is too precious for that chunky heel, it's much too much a mish-mosh! Just like that sentence!

Posted by: Allison | February 15, 2006 11:47 PM

Oooooh YAY! they've got that 40s feel cause of the chunky bows, but they look really versatile, also walk-in-able: Shoes that you can get creative with? YAY!

Posted by: Ruth | February 16, 2006 12:10 AM

nay. horrible.

Posted by: CC | February 16, 2006 3:55 AM

Yay. Classic shape, and the bow is a feminine nod to this season's trends.

Posted by: Babs | February 16, 2006 4:22 AM

Yay,These babies give me inspiration for the perfect female sexy exec fantasy. Good addition to my self designed wide leg pant and black torrid blouse with some sexy pearls this is hot.

Posted by: Koko | February 16, 2006 5:32 AM

Hmmm.... yay. Not a resounding yay though. They're nice but for me not outstanding :)

Posted by: tania, rogue connect | February 16, 2006 10:25 AM

Yay, they are lovely, very stylish and have a ballet and tap feel - like tango shoes - very nice - are they from Toast (they have some nice shoes)

Posted by: Deb | February 16, 2006 11:56 AM

NAY...*shudder*

Posted by: Jayne | February 16, 2006 12:25 PM

NAY! kind of witchy.

Posted by: Jessica | February 16, 2006 3:10 PM

Eh - not terrible, but I wouldn't look twice in them in the store.

Posted by: Kristina | February 16, 2006 3:17 PM

Nay.

I usually like this tyle of shoe, but these are just a little too clunky to carry it off.

Posted by: Fionna | February 16, 2006 3:36 PM

NAY. too boring, too simple. maybe more openess.

Posted by: karina | February 16, 2006 3:43 PM

Yay although topshop have a similar style in velvet with a pointed toe which actually works better, although these are gorgeous

Posted by: Suzi | February 16, 2006 4:23 PM

Nay. Not that bad really, but nothing to get excited about either.

Posted by: Cherry | February 16, 2006 5:57 PM

I want to cover this shoe's ears so it doesn't hear all the horrible Nay comments. A complete Yay! So cute!

Posted by: Andrea | February 16, 2006 6:51 PM

Nay. I like round toes. I LOVE instep ties/bows. I love heel heights just like this one.

But all together? On a cheap-looking shoe?

PASS

Posted by: rose | February 16, 2006 6:53 PM

Yay... I can see the ribbon changing many times in a day - tres versatile!

Posted by: Selina | February 16, 2006 7:59 PM

NAY! They look like they belong on the feet of the river dancers!

Posted by: momeg2 | February 17, 2006 12:15 AM

It;s true they appear to be just a teeny bit "off" - but I still kind of like them.

Yay from me.

Posted by: France | February 17, 2006 12:38 AM

It's a hideous shoe made more hideous by the desperate attempt at flair in the shape of a limp looking bow. They are just all WRONG.

Posted by: Carly | February 17, 2006 1:05 PM

no, a bit mutton.
NAY!

Posted by: little sonfica | February 20, 2006 9:07 PM

YEA! i want them! i love the heel and the toe, and the bow is whimsical without being cutesy.

Posted by: sabrina | February 21, 2006 8:59 PM

overall nay, looks like shoes that my tango dance instructor wears
