Absolutely Audrey Shoe Clips

Aaudrey
Little clip-on jewels are a great way of glamming up an old pair of shoes to give them a new lease of life, and a few people have emailed me asking where they can buy some good shoe jewellery. The best selection I've found is at Absolutely Audrey, which stocks not only a big selection of bridal designs and glam crystal clips, but also one-of-a-kind vintage finds like the flowers on the right. Prices range from $19.99 to $45 which is pretty good considering you can put them on any pair of shoes you like! I've got my eye on some sparkly butterflies.

OH WOW ! I am in love with the ones on Aliza Darik's site, the ones called Passementerie. They are going to make my shoe look like the Prada's shoes I couldn't afford!

Thank you for featuring my fabulous shoe clips on your website! I started making vintage style shoe clips 5 years ago and they have been doing amazing. They can not only be clipped to shoes, but also on jeans (my favorite) and hats! The DonnaBellas featured above (green rhinestones) were inspired by the one and only.. Donatella Versavce.

My clothing design company (www.whitietighties.com) sponsored a designers event in NYC a couple of months ago where Absolutely Audrey was one of our featured designers. One word. HOT! The clips were going out the door like Magnolia Bakery's cupcakes. I own a few myself and keep on getting more for my girlfriends in New York who go crazy about them. And I just love what absolutely audrey has done with her site. That's the way to go! Great job and fantastic shoeclips.

So here is the scoop, these clips aren't just for shoes, they can also be used to clip to a cute handbag, to the belt loop of your favorite pair of jeans, as an accent to a hot hairstyle...the possibilities are endless. But most of all, they can take a pair of shoes to a whole new fashionista level. I've visited the Absolutely Audrey site and was amazed; there are a plethera of syles and colors to choose from, and best of all...they are affordable. I have attached the direct link to the website, you gotta check it out: http://www.absolutelyaudrey.com/

OOOH! - a battle! Isn't fashion catty? I have to say that this was oddly intriguing and my curiosity got the best of me. Many of the comments posted seem very one-sided (hello family & friends?) so I felt I had to give an unbiased opinion! I too compared all 3 sites to see who had the "BEST" shoe clips and here's my report: "Aliza" sells fashion-forward glam, "Audrey" sells vintage and "Jewels" looks like they are still figuring it out. Three ENTIRELY different concepts-- not even a battle to be had!!!!!!

Ebay has hundreds of vintage shoe clips! !!!???!?!?!?

Posted by: jaclyn | May 10, 2006 8:06 PM

I tend to agree with Isabella. My interest was piqued as well as I never heard of any of these 3 companies mentioned. I remember shoe clips from the 80's...
I decided to take 20 minutes and explore all 3 sites.
The people that are saying THE BEST WEBSITE BY FAR... do seem pretty biased... I found all 3 to have their own thing going on. All 3 definitely offering something different style-wise... I guess it all depends on what you are looking for... So I do agree with Isabella if you want vintage go to Audrey and if you want modern go to Aliza.

The style of shoe clips originated in the 1920s, they are not an original idea by Aliza Darik. Vintage inspired trends are styles that come back to the fashion life in various eras. However, shoe clips were not invented in 2003. There are a lot of shoe clip companies: Absolutely Audrey, Aliza Darik, eBay, Just Jewels etc. It is up to the customers to decide which styles fit in their needs, budget and character. All companies mentioned above are all great. In Absolutely Audrey's defence, the comments above are all from our customers not friends and family. Dear Aliza Darik friends, there is no reason to be catty. We think your shoe clips are also fabulous and we really like you.
