Espadrilles Rule
There is a great piece in the latest UK Vogue about wedges. Written by a fellow shoe lover who found the whole chunky shoe trend hard to handle at first, it discusses how she came to love this season's wedge. The argument is that there's a wedge to suit us all, and I think that's true. You don't have to go for basket-weave YSL or chunky Chloe. This whole fad started with espadrilles, so why not take it full circle? Espadrilles etc's chic 'Gabriella' design is light and ladylike enough to convert even the biggest non believer. It's €66 to EEC folks, and $70 to everyone else.
