Topshop do Chanel
When Karl Lagerfeld sent his spat-style sandals down the Chanel catwalk for Spring 2006, I lived in hope that they'd be one trend that wouldn't make its way onto the high street. Alas, Topshop didn't take the hint, and the leather sandals on the right are now on sale for £60. If you are thinking of giving this trend a go, please enlighten me. Exactly what do you wear them with?!

those are kinda scary... o.O
hmm. If I HAD to wear them? Probably go for that summer 'nautical' look. A long striped b&W or navy & white short sleeved tunic with a wide belt over dark footless tights with a jean skirt or leggings. The type of thing that would look cute with boots, but is too summery for closed toe boots.

Look in the latest vouge darling, i really thought you would be more in the know!

Just joking, see what i did their? Real fashion snobs would spell vogue correctly!

And a grammar snob would tell you to use the correct form of "there".
I agree, these shoes don't really go with anything. I like interesting sandals (anything is more exciting than a boring plastic flip-flop for the summer), but I don't really understand this pair.

AAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHHH! NO! NONONONONONONO! BLOOOOOOOOGGGHHH! What to wear them with???? A sign saying "These shoes are disgusting!"

A paper bag over your head.
Those are hideous!

Yes, this months Vogue - I was still not convinced that people wouldn't laugh at you in the street - even when worn with a simple shift dress as recommended

Just proves my point - designers tend to get too artistic for the 'normal' people on occasion. I wouldn't wear these sandals ever (ok, maybe if I had to pass accross hot coal to get to my pair free manolos).

A black shift dress.
And glued-on five inch heels.
I ooh la love the shoes, a las, flats make me uncomfortable.

These shoes are pretty ugly, but I do like the idea of spats.. maybe not with weird flat sandals though.

I don't think these shoes aren as ugly as everyone thinks. I just think not everyone can pull it off. It is definetly a spring/summer look. But overall i think its kinda fresh.

ugghhh - i LOOOVE the lagerfeld ones. hate the topshops - here' a Karl Lagerfeld rant for you -
I remember when he did his H&M fashion line a couple of years ago he was upset that they made the clothes in sizes larger than 8 - he said he wanted his clothes worn by slim people. Well, Karl, then don't try to cash in at H&M, cause you are designing for the masses there, and the masses are mostly larger than a size 10. What a jerk! A$$hole. He made money off of the people he disrespects( the whole line was butt ugly, too - I couldn't beleive anyone bought it)
