Second Chance Sanderson

In this photo, these embellished, chunky heeled sandals from Rupert Sanderson don't look like much. In fact, they remind me of the clunky shoes I coveted in the early 90s before I knew any better. But then look at them in this picture, on a model and they suddenly come to life. The block heel actually looks great (and provides some much-needed support) and I can imagine them with a sparkly little Julien MacDonald dress. I might still leave this look to the Paris Hilton's of the world, but it goes to show you shouldn't judge a shoe until you've put it on your foot. As if any of you need a reason to try on new shoes!
