'Oh...Deer!' Red Soled Stacked Wood Bruges Style Platforms

OhdeerLoads of you have emailed me about these shoes from Oh...Deer!. The general consensus (with which I agree wholeheartedly) is that these are the best Christian Louboutin Bruges style stacked wood platforms we've seen yet. They even have the red heels. They're exclusive to the Urban Outfitters website for $110 in black or tan. The backorders are beginning already so get a move on if you want them. And buy me a pair in a US 9 while you're at it!

Thanks to everyone who emailed in to tell me about these.
Shoewawa has loads and loads of Bruges style platforms here.

Lovely, Lovely; though it's missing the red sole...

I ordered a pair of these last week. They also sell them at zappos if your size is sold out at urban outfitters.

Posted by: Kimberly | May 23, 2006 5:06 PM

Does anyone know if you should get them a size larger than your usual size?

Posted by: tiffany | May 23, 2006 6:25 PM

They're also selling them over at davidz.com for $98, and with free shipping. They have the peeptoe ones (with a black platform) there too.

Posted by: Cristia | May 24, 2006 2:00 AM

Well if you want them even cheaper...you can order them through zappos and then take advantage of the price protection policy by telling them about davidz.com. I just did this and got them for 96.00 (plus the 14% cash back that zappos offers through luckyrewards.com-which leads to a total of 84.00!!!)

all I need in life is a Bruges knockoff with a low enough heel for work!
Does the mythical 2" high heel exist any more in such a gorgeous design, or am I limited to geriatric shoes? :(

I have a question...

is it better to get these shoes or the jessica simpson shoes? because the j.simp shoes are in patent leather type while these shoes are simple leather.

which ares are more real to the actual louboutin, regardless of the red bottom?

thanks!

Jackie, the CL Bruges come in patent leather as well as plain leather. (I believe they also come in suede as well). The other difference is the heel. The JS heels are cork, and the OD heels are stacked wood. Again, the Bruges come in both wood and cork. So it really just comes down to what you like better. Patent and cork, or plain leather and wood?

Click on this website and it will take you exactly to Jeffery Campbell bruges knockof and their red at the bottom.

thanks so much!

I have another question though, how high is the heel of the real louboutin?

Posted by: Jackie | May 25, 2006 6:00 AM

Mine arrived today, and they run half a size too big. Unfortunately I had to send them back.

Posted by: Kimberly | May 25, 2006 8:53 PM

Jackie, the heel on the CL Bruges is 4 1/4", with a 3/4" platform. The JS Barb and OD Marilyn both have 4" heels, and I'm not sure about the platform on either of those. If I had to guess, I'd say 3/4" inch too.

I really like the Oh Deer ones. Do they run true to size or should I order a size up? Did the CL have the patent/wood combination? Thanks!

Posted by: trixX | May 26, 2006 8:51 AM

I'm almost positive that the only cork-soled Bruges are patent leather. Any other material (plain leather, suede) shoes come with a stacked wood heel.

gojane has a good bruges imitation for $18- definitely the best price i've ever seen.

Thought you'll want to know, Go Jane is currently selling Yoyo Zeppa and Burges lookalikes. They're pretty good and very affordable!

Is it me or is "Oh Deer!" selling 2 different knockoff Bruges? Just compare the shape of them

UrbanOutfitters
http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/shopping/product/detailmain.jsp?itemID=23445&itemType=PRODUCT&iMainCat=121&iSubCat=125&iProductID=23445

Zappos
http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/14558455/c/20.html

I seem to gravitate towards UrbanOutfitter's version as their shape seems more true to the real Louboutin version.

I just ordered a pair of these sweet shoes - patent leather - from www.qvc.com for a mere $59.00 US! Check them out before they are gone! I got mine!

Posted by: Sheila | July 14, 2006 2:29 PM

Hurry, they have red soled "oh deer" brand CL knockoffs at qvc for $59. They have black patent leather with cork or black or gold regular leather with wood. It's the cheapest I've seen so far. I thought I found the best deal at fashionbliss for $95,but this is way cheaper.
