Hello Sweden

I must say a big hello (or should that be 'hej') to all the Swedish fans who have joined us over the last 24 hours. Apparently Shoewawa was on tv over there, and judging by the amount of you who've been visiting, they must have said nice things (if they didn't, just pretend they did because I'll never know the difference).

I always knew Swedes had good taste. After all, you're responsible for H&M.

I didn't see it myself but it was a documentary about exclusive shoes. According to TV4's homepage (the tv-channel) there was an interview with Manolo Blahnik, they were discussing women's addiction to shoes and cheap copies. The best thing was probably when they mentioned your blog. Though the documentary is canadian.

I do apologise for my english. But we sure love shoes in Sweden as well and that's a language every woman know.

Thanks so much for the info M. I hadn't realised it was Canadian. In that case, perhaps I was even on it being interviewed and looking very young!? I did do an interview for a TV documentary a long time ago. If anyone can shed any light, please do!

I'm a Swede living in Paris and my mother called me as soon as the show was over and over the phone we looked at your wonderful site. I have a small collection of shoes (about 70 pairs) that I keep in my walk in closet... I think now when the sales are on I will be able to add a pair of Jimmy Choo that I have had my eyes on for quite a while.... Hopefully the tv shoe will come to France so I get to see it as well!

I'm a swede who's soon going to London and Birmingham. I was wondering if anyone could recommend any outlet stores or such (IRL) with designer shoes or any other that would be kind to my bank account?

And thanks a lot for (a recently found) great site!

I saw the program about shoes on the telly. Very interesting to get some history and fantastic to get to see so many beautiful pair of shoes. I have kept a pair of platforms, bought in Chester, England in -72. The heel is as tall as 15 cm (!)and the sole 4-5 cm. They are metallic blue with a red stripe. I will never get rid of them although I haven´t worn them for some 30 years.
I will definitely visit this site again!
