Peacocks - The New Primark?

PeacocksAccording to the those in the know, Peacocks is set to challenge Primark for the crown of best budget retailer. The cheap chain store recently scooped Value Footwear Retailer of 2006 at the Drapers awards (beating my favourite cheap shoe haunt, New Look). Their shoe range stocks everything from retro bow wedges to bright espadrilles (left), but the real star is a ballet flat with a suede pointe-detail toe. The £10 style (in various colours) is snapped up by budget fashionistas as soon as it hits the shelves. If you've not thought of popping into Peacocks for shoes before, now is the time to try them out!

I've been a fan of Peacocks shoes for ages now, and while the gold on my bargain new Look ballet pumps was half scratched off the first time I wore them, my little glittery silver peep toes that cost a tenner from Peacocks are still going strong!

Whenever I go into Peacocks, the shoe area is in such a mess. Perhaps in my local one they just don't care for shoes, but they hardly have any, and finding a pair is an almost impossible task, as they seem to be scattered randomly around the place.
I love New Look for good value shoes.
