Wet Weather Shoes: Wellies, Skimmers & Loafers
Not long ago I saw a woman with plastic bags over her shoes. I couldn’t see what was underneath, but it got me thinking that nice shoes are easily ruined by the rain, and this woman obviously couldn’t come up with a better alternative to protect them. Why she didn’t just put them in her bag, wear a different pair and change when she arrived at her destination, I don’t know. Wet weather shoes are big news at the moment, with wellies back in style and jellies trying to make a comeback. Now you can splash about in some pink pink polka dot wellies from funky-wellington-boots.co.uk (£32), or for a more shoe-like feel invest in some rubber loafers from Kate Spade for $77.95 or Sigerson Morrison's famous rubber skimmers ($59.99). Just don't wear them all day long. Sticky shoes ahoy! [Rachel Arthur]

I just wear flips flops or really tall wedges in the rain...
I don't think I could wear plastic shoes with a serious outfit. I would think it would look to...tacky?
