Faith do Louboutin
Not so long ago we were bombarded with images of celebrities sporting the signature red Christian Louboutin soles. This soon led to the inevitable high street spin offs in a variety of styles (don't worry, I won't mention a certain platform shoe). It appears Faith have gone all Louboutin inspired and started featuring shoes with red soles like the £45 Cyle. Great for the savvy high-street shopper who yearns to own a pair of the Parisian beauties minus the price tag. Perhaps not so great for those who are fortunate enough to own a genuine pair of the trademark nail varnish red soled signature shoes. I suppose imitation is the sincerest form of flattery...

Face it--it's the democratization or demystifying of 'luxury' goods. Pretty soon you won't be able to tell the difference, and it won't mean anything in terms of status or fashion.

although i'd probably get them i still think it's a shame, i sort of like having something with that discreet tell-tale-sign that i just spent a lot of money!

To add insult to injury (or maybe not depending on if you are a George 'fan' or not) Asda have some red soled 'Dolly' and Plain Black court shoes in their new range.

well apparently christian louboutin wanted his red sole to be copied, when he first thought them up.
although I think I prefer the red sole to be exclusively louboutin. it's just more fun that way.
