Payless - Kicking Topshop where it hurts!

Paylessmjs For once you ladies in the US can rub your hands together with glee because you don't have a Topshop. You won't have wasted £85 on a pair of shoes almost identical to these (or worse, bought the Kurt Geiger ones for £150). Oh no, if you live in the USA these patent Mary Janes are yours for the insane price of $17.99. $17.99! Someone might as well stand outside the store giving them away!

I have the bone colored maryjanes from Payless. I love them, but the second time I wore them I somehow got black scuff marks on the sides of them. I am concerned they won't come off or that the patent has rubbed off. I am so disappointed. Love you website!!!

I have several pairs of Payless shoes that have lasted for several years. I think that Payless is good for several things:

1.) Shoes you won't be wearing daily - specialty shoes that go with one or two outfits.

2.) Sneakers - unless you're a professional athlete, or a total gym rat, Payless sneakers work just as well as any Nikes or Reeboks or New Balances I've ever owned. My last pair of NB's fell apart after a year. My Payless sneaks are still kicking and looking new. My last pair of Nikes didn't even last three months before they started looking like crap. (I'm not talking about the canvas ones made of nothing - the regular sneakers.)

3.) Customers with special needs - looking for shoes that were not once part of an animal. I live in a college town, and many people are vegetarians or vegans and don't wear leather on their bodes or their feet. Payless is an excellent option for those people.

4.) Dress shoes for little kids for special events - who wants to spend insane amounts of money on dress shoes for little kids to wear for Easter or Christmas? They'll outgrow them before they ever wear them again.

As far as Payless goes, none of the shoes I buy from there are because they are "timeless". I wear them maybe once or twice and at $18 I can live with that.

Yes they are cheap and from payless, but what you are paying for is a low quality shoe.

You can see the quality of a shoe by the heel, the leather, and the sole. Buying a shoe from Payless is literally paying less, for lesser quality.

So if you buy them, be warned that your feet will be in pain and that it isn't a 'timeless' shoe that will last you that long.

Yes! Now, do I have the patience to wait for their BOGO?

Love. Too bad they don't come in the gold glittery style featured a while back.
