Sam Edelman Kody Loafer Pump

Blueshoe_1 I'm not sure why, but even when they're not in style (like during the reign of the stiletto) I'm inexplicably drawn to shoes like this loafer pump from Sam Edelman ($125). It could be because this kind of shoe was popular at the time I was in high school(or perhaps just popular in my high school). Funny, at the time they seemed so grown up and sophisticated, and now I have very different ideas of a sophisticated shoe. But, nonetheless, I really like it. I've seen some other versions, including a nice Aerosoles, one, but I like this one best. The heel and general shape are right-on to keep this shoe modern, not dowdy. Obviously it would be most practical in black, but I love the blue!
