Seriously Pointy Footwear from RoSa Shoes

SharppointThe Bag Lady and I have a tendency to use each other's knowledge to increase our accessories stashes. So while I sent her on the lookout for the perfect designer bag, she recently set me the task of finding perfect pair of pointy boots (the ones on the high street are just not pointy enough you see). By coincidence, this week I was introduced to RoSa Shoes, who specialise in footwear with the sharpest points known to man (replaceable, luckily). The calf length lace-up boot in black leather (£189) also comes with a pair of interchangeable buckles to match your outfit. BL informs me that if they did a knee-high that didn't lace up, she'd be their newest customer!

Seriously Pointy Footwear from RoSa Shoes - Comments

    Hi Ladies,

I guess that you either like them or you don't. Some of you see them as being wicked and witchy, - so do I and my wife, - which is precisely why we like them!

Speaking as a male from the UK who grew up during the period of the 1950's and early 1960's when almost all women wore high-heels day in day out, and who was brought up in a family seemingly dominated by women who stayed at home while the men went out to provide for them, I see heels as being authoritative not submissive. The zenith of high-heels is of course the stiletto heel and although these were perhaps originally seen as dainty and fragile, suggesting that the woman that they bore was also dainty and fragile, the damage that these steel cored or steel sheathed heels did to wooden and linoleum floors, asphalt and tarmac roads and sidewalks, lawns, and even aluminium aircraft floors, soon suggested otherwise. To me and many other men they have always seemed strong and lethal rather than delicate and dainty, - as a child you see the damage that they do! Thus stilettos, particularly when teamed with pointed toes, symbolize the ultimate female weapon; and to many males, the feared target of female aggression is usually reckoned to be that which makes us male.

Personally I am fascinated by the destructive capabilities of women's footwear, whether chunky and brutal or thin and sharp, and the paradox suggested by them. On the one hand women wear heels to alter their silhouette in order to be more attractive and desirable by enhancing their breasts, hips and buttocks and to give them the appearance of strong athletic legs raised on tiptoes as if running, - all symbolizing good breeding stock to the primeval blueprint in the subconscious of the male. On the other hand their destructive qualities means that they are capable of nullifying the very males who are so attracted, - ensuring that only the males that the women desire will get further than first base!

These boots thus appear as the ultimate instruments of castration and are all the more sexy as a result. To have one’s manhood unexpectedly and teasingly prodded by such sharp long points from under the dinner table at function or dinner party, or even in a crowded restaurant, and to look into the laughing and sparkling eyes of their wearer is a particular turn-on!

    Hi there,

I LOVE to see my wife wearing such marvellous ultra-pointy toe high heel boots and I am for something as POINTIER (or even more for my wife) but a very classic boot without lace or any strap. Just a classic leather boot.

Could you give me some information about that.

    Thank you,

    Jean-François

oh yes. yes yes yes. Stunning - the pic above doesnt do these shoes justice - you need to see them worn. Sarah has some lovely clips online (accessible form rosashoes) which shows just how stunning these shoes are. Thanks Sarah and Roger for your lovely and sexy shoes.

Finally, a company that knows how and where to put the edge and bite into stilletos and boots. Some may not like it, but for me, the pointier the better. I have to agree with Sharmin and Andrea. Wear what you enjoy, be it pointy-toed, round-toed, stilleto, or wedged. If it makes you feel good, by-golly wear it. Oooooh.... Sharmin, you have similar pair in RED?!!! Hook me up. I've been searching high and low for a naughty pair of pointy-stilleto boots in red.
