Biba Striped Platform Pump

Biba_5 Bergdorf Goodman's 5F is dedicated to new, up and coming designers, and this Biba Striped Platform Pump is one of their hot picks for fall. I like it. It's bold, it's different than most of what we're seeing for fall yet with a modern, stylish aesthetic. These would be great statement shoes with a little black dress or peeking out of some black trousers for work. They also look like they'd be less painful than a lot of pumps, though they don't give us a heel height. For shame, Bergdorf, for shame. I guess we're just not supposed to care. $640 if anyone's interested!

I love Bergdorf's irony in lumping Biba - a 60s legend - in with 'new' designers. I suppose the modern revival does include a new design team and fresh ideas, but still a bit off the mark!

As for the shoes, I sense a bit of a love / hate thing may happen with these.
