Elie Tahari's 'interesting' Mimi Snakeskin Pumps
Sometimes you look at something and even though you know it's really ugly you're drawn to it anyway. That's what happened with me and these Elie Tahari 'Mimi' pumps ($595 at Neiman Marcus). I know they're slightly horrific, clunky and would probably make my feet look three times their actual size, but I still want to try them on just to satisfy my curiosity. What do you guys think of them? Am I mad to be drawn to them or do you agree there's something about them that makes you stare?

I'm with you - these draw you in. I bet they're not as clunky on as they first appear. The heel tapers, plus the cross-over straps look like they would expertly hug the foot instead of overly wrapping it. I have a safari-style brown wrap with a plunging neckline that would pair perfectly with this shoe (if I could justify the price tag).
