Linea Paolo vs Marc by Marc Jacobs - Patent Peep Toe Face-Off

Mjcopies_2
I don't even know where to start wit this one. Amazingly, the shoe on the right is not the same as the one on the left. I'm not lying! One of these costs $398.95 a pair, the other $99.95. Would you be able to tell the difference, because I don't think I would unless I was so close I could smell the patent leather. Linea Paolo need to watch their step, because if I were Marc Jacobs I'd be one very unhappy bunny... Good news for us though, that almost $200 saving would buy a nice dress to go with them!

Wow, now that's a good copy!

I met Paolo a couple of years ago and I just don't see him as the copying type. Or I didn't. Could it be a case of simultaneous inspiration? (Or Marc copying Paolo??)

$398.95 minus $99.95, isn't that almost a $300 saving (not $200 as stated in the post)? or are the Marc Jacocs shoes in fact $298.95?? sorry, just confused.

You're right Lulu. Maths was never my strong point. That'll teach me to type too fast.

there almost exact, except i liked the ones on the right more (the cheeper ones to my surprise) just because they're black on the inside to. makes them look nicer i think.

I saw that in the store last week! I actually purchased the Paolo shoe a month ago at the Galleria Nordstrom in Dallas. I was at the Macy's in Chicago and thought I saw the same shoe only to realize upon closer inspection, that it was the Marc Jacobs shoe! I didn't try on the Marc Jacobs version, but I can say that the Paolo shoe is VERY COMFORTABLE!!! The inside has a built in cushion sole!

They're good knockoffs, but I can tell the difference. The MJ pair has a more graceful peeptoe, ribbon and heel. That said, I'd still go cheapy.

I own both pairs, and i must say that the marc jacobs shoe, is nothing short of quality for every dollar spent. But for the look, rather than the name and everything with it, id go paolo. Still a great shoe.
