River Island Does Manolo

We've been debating the merits of River Island over at Catwalk Queen this afternoon: personally I've always thought RI's biggest strength was its shoes, and I'm loving these black patent Mary Janes, which are a lot like the Manolo version, but with a much more affordable £44.99 price tag.

River Island are far from the only store doing patent Mary Janes, of course, but the white piping on these makes them a little bit different, and adds some of that sixties style that's everywhere right now, too. Yay for River Island!

Payless has the same shoe at $17.99 with a slightly chunkier heel. They are aslo incredibly comfortable and they have a matching black patent purse if you're interested. I love payless and their designer- look-a-like shoes. They are man-made materials though, but if it ever goes out of style then you can toss them without feeling any remorse and take out your kicky stiletto pointed pumps. They still have a very designer-esque look and feel and know one would know that you bought it at almost a discount price! Or buy two! It would still cost less than the River Island pumps!
