The Pain-Free Stiletto from Cole Haan

D20223_a "Pain-free" and "stiletto heel" aren't words that normally go together, but rest assured, there is such a thing as an easy-to-wear stiletto, and Cole Haan claims to have created it.

These babies may look like your standard ankle-killers, but they contain Nike air-cushioning in the ball of the feet and the sole, which helps prevent the foot and back pain so often associated with long hours in strappy sandals.

Of course, it doesn't hurt that they look pretty sweet, too, does it?

Awesome! I just don't understand why they haven't come out with something like this ages ago..

Why doesn't every shoe designer do this!!!

These are ultra comfy. I tried them on and felt the air cushioning. Heaven!! Cole Haan has a variety of pumps that feature the Nike Air technology.

It's good to know they actually do work, Marsha! I'm just pleased that they're so pretty - normally when dsigners come out with something they claim is comfortable it looks like something pensioners would wear!

I'm eager to try these and see. If they are as good as they are rated then my prayers are answered for a good work day shoe. I love the look of em.

Alas, these and the CARMA AIR PUMPs have great shapes but they are built wrong because it is tough to walk without wobbling in them. [No, I don't have this problem with my other 3.5 - 4 inch heels.] It's so frustrating because they look so good yet everyone I saw trying them looked silly walking in them!
