Cole Haan Cassie Tall Boot

What I really want to know about these Cole Haan Cassie boots is if it's a trick of the light or if the croco embossed leather is really so shiny and sparkly. Don't they have the look of wet asphalt in a street light? That's not the most luxe comparison, but I've always liked the sparkly look of macadam! The seaming around the foot, the buckle detail in back and the roomy shape also add to the appeal. The question is, on a regular girl and not a tall and skinny model would they end up looking too tall and a bit awkward? Want to be our Guinea pig for $340?
