Gap Leather D'Orsay Flats

Gap_5 Gap featured these patent leather bad boys (or are they good girls?) in their fashion forecast and I think they are cu-ute. Big fan of the patent leather with white contrast trim, so dressy and adorable. The patent leather options (including a fun cinnebar red) look much chicer than the regular leather ones. This is a flat, flat, flat shoe, so if you're headed for cobblestones lookout. But, if you're on a plush carpet, these would probably feel just like slippers with their nonexistent heel and round toes. Totally unexpected from The Gap, but I really like them.

Does anyone else find it difficult to actually walk in "flat, flat, flat" shoes? I have considered having a bit of a heel (maybe 3/4") put on a couple of pairs I own. Would Marc Jacobs hunt me down and kill me?

My Mom has mentioned not finding really flat shoes comfortable. I think it has to do with supporting the arch and all that. I love my flat flats, but like I said, only if walking on comfy surfaces.
