Paula Ka Purple Platforms

Paulekablack_patent__metall Are Paula Ka trying to emulate the fateful Vivienne Westwood platforms that sent Naomi a-tumbling back in 1993? The colour is practically certainly on the same side of the colour wheel, and they have the same patent texture, but luckily the heel has a much larger surface area and the platforms aren't quite the 12 inches of the Vivienne Westwood version. Meaning that if you so happened to have an event and outfit that deemed these shoes acceptable attire, you're less likely to suffer the same fate as Naomi Campbell.

The first link in the Google Ads box just underneath this post is for "Stripper Shoes". How delightfully appropriate.

I still don't get the Naomi Campbell thing. Even when I was 8 (in 1993), I was mystified that someone who makes a career out of walking could screw up so bad. I mean, a normal person is pretty much expected to tumble in monster shoes like those, but she's a professional! And she's paid 1,013 times more than I'll ever make! Maybe she was taking night classes for her nuclear physics PhD that season... or something.

Oooh, they are amazing. I can't imagine doing much else but sitting admiring them while wearing them, but they're great.
