Steve Madden Judyy Mary Janes

Judyy1_1On the Steve Madden site this morning, these blue mary janes really caught my eye. They also come in red, brown, and black, but I thought the blue the most different and daring. Steve Madden calls them mod, but I hesitate to use that moniker as a humble American with so many Brits about. I just think they're different. They're not like every other shoe out there, but they're not wild and zany either. Steve Madden recommends them with skinny jeans or pencil skirts, and at $79.95 you might actually be able to afford new jeans or a skirt after buying them!

Nice, but I have a red and a black pair of M.Js already......well if they were for sale over here I'd get a pair. "If the shoe fits get one in every colour"

Yeah, well... I've got very similar ones in red and brown, but it's the huge button that really makes it. And I DID just get paid... $30 postage is a bit steep tho.

I almost almost almost almost bought these - in blue! - at the Steve Madden store this weekend (what a surprise to see them in your post today) but was worried they looked a little too cartoonish on the foot. Have you tried them on? I have some non-buyers remorse, I must admit. They are pretty cute, just maybe a hair on that side of the "are they too Minnie Mouse" internal debate.

Blue shoes that are not ridiculous or matronly are really hard to find.

I agree about the colour factor Rose. I think that its best to stay away from the rounded toes when wearing blue or try blue or black hose.

No, I haven't tried them on, but the cartoony factor certainly would be a concern. I agree with Katy, some tights and an otherwise simple outfit might be the key.
