Top Five: Sexy Navy Heels
As we all know, if it's not done right, navy can look quite matronly and dull. However, with the right style and a bit of height theres nothing like sexy navy to take the crown from boring black as the perfect evening shoe...
What could say 'sexy evening shoe' more than these stunning Pedro Garcia 'Delia' peeptoes? These are so gorgeously glamorous I think they may even revise my negative feelings on seeing my toes peeping out of shoes. They're satin with a crystal-embellished arch and a velvet bow and are £215 from Net-a-Porter. The description on the site says 'grey' but we have confirmation that they're blue.
These very pretty satin open-waisted shoes from Shoebox have lovely cut-out details around the heel and the closed pointed toe. The fine binding of pewter adds a lovely delicate touch, and the overall effect is very glamorous. They're available from Additions Direct for just £20.
Marc Jacobs gives us this great day-to-evening shoe in beautiful navy satin with reptile leather detailing. At 3.7 inches I think the heel height would be too much for me, but if you're the sort who was 'born in heels' the sweet peeptoe and bow style will look fabulous. You can buy them from YOOX for £244.
Another peeptoe, but this time from Emotion at VivalaDiva at the much lower price of £35. Open-waisted with criss-cross detailing and embellished with blue jewels across the toe, 'Holly' manages to look delicate despite the enclosed heel. It's under 2.5 inches, which is great for those who want a lower evening shoe.
This open-waisted peeptoe from Kit has great contrasting panels with a suede and high-shine leather effect. It comes in both black and navy, has a 3 1/4 inch heel and is available from Additions Direct at £19.
