Top Five: T-bar Heels
T-bars have been around for ages but the fashion for all things retro and vintage over the last few years has meant t-bar styles have seen a real resurgence. There are now loads to choose from, in all kinds of fabrics and I've chosen a handful just perfect for Autumn outfits.
I had to start with this midnight blue and pewter shoe from Kit because I can't wait to tell you the price...ready...£8! Yes, just eight quid from Additions Direct for this lovely deco-inspired, suede-effect shoe. It also comes in bronze with pewter for those who'd prefer something brighter...
Marks call this a mary jane, but we know better don't we? Made from real suede the price can't quite match the Kit shoe above, but at £25, this elegant mid-heeled t-bar from Marks & Spencer's Autograph line is still a great deal. In basic black, it's a good choice if you want something a bit different to a plain court and would work as a day-to-evening shoe.
I saw this lovely round-toed shoe in person recently and the photo really doesn't do it justice. The suede is a really deep wine colour, and is altogether darker than the image shows. This retro-styled t-bar is from Principles and costs £45.
Now for something a little different! What do you think of these teal, burgundy and metallic t-bars from Accessorize? Definitely great art deco style and in this Autumn's hot colours - all the elements together seems as though they shouldn't work, but they do. If you love them, they're yours for £40.
These gorgeous green t-bars are from Marc Jacobs and have really delicate cut-out and pleat detailing. Naturally they come with a price to match, but can be yours for £214 at YOOX. Be quick though, there's only a few sizes left.
