Louis Vuitton: Extreme Babouche Hole Pump

P11324473_ph_hero_2 Excuse me Mr. Vuitton, half of my shoe is missing
At $640 (or £335 depending on which side of the pond you are buying), I expect a whole (no pun intended) shoe. The 'Extreme Babouche Hole Pump' is definitely different, but there is something about the design that I think also makes it a beautiful looking shoe. Whether it is comfortable or not, we'll have to wait and find out. So if anyone has some spare cash to burn and would like to test it out, feel free and let me know.
The Extreme Babouche Hole Pump is available at Louis Vuitton of course, or eLuxury.

I think they're amazing!

I saw those in The New Yorker first. They kind of scare me, to be honest.

I saw a pic of these in an ad in Interview. In the picture they were sideways - it took me a good 20 minutes to figure out how the heck they fit on your feet. I would be interested to see them on a foot.....

Very cool idea. How do they look with a foot in them?

Posted by: rose | November 17, 2006 11:40 PM

Okay.. but shouldn't a shoe have arch support or something? Very cool idea though.

Though thoroghly mesmerizing, they look like a foot binding mechanism. Such a 90 degree angle! If anyone tries these on, you must let us know!

I totally agree with you A, where is the arch support?

I've actually tried them on, and they aren't tooo bad but it felt so wierd to not have any arch support.

i own them. call me crazy...i actually walked out of louis vuitton without trying them on. they are just so sculptural and sexy that i really didn't care if i could walk in them or not. what i found was...they look gorgeous on but they put me at an awkward angle(on my toes). my hairdresser suggested lessons from a burlesque dancer she knows.but...i will walk the streets of paris in them if it kills me.it won't be the first show to draw blood
