Rene Caovilla Gold Trim Rose Wrap Sandals

4_2 I think it would be completely natural for all of you to take a look at these sandals from Rene Caovilla and think they're atrocious - embellishment gone crazy, I hear you cry! But actually, I kind of love them. No, they're not the most subtle shoes you'll ever see, but I think they're fun and original and most definitely eye-catching. As they're Caovilla, they have an astronomical price tag of $716 (which for me translates as two months rent!), but if you're looking for a special wardrobe addition, why not give them a try?

Months ago on Shoewawa there was a similar R.Caovilla sandal...and that was nice, it had only one rose. But this looks like a rose nightmare! Nonononononono!
One is ok and sweet, too many are just like a garden on your feet!

I love these shoes. You can't wear them with just anything -- they need a very simple dress and almost no jewelry -- but I've been wistfully looking at them for a month or so now, wishing I had any way at all to justify them. But I don't.

le sigh!
