Top Five: Subtle Glitter Shoes

Glitterflats I love anything sparkly and shimmery. If I catch a glint of something in the corner of my eye, I immediately revert to 'little girl mode' and run cooing towards whatever it is. That said, I find some of the glittery shoes available are...well... a bit much for my taste. Great to look at on the shelf, but not so easy to wear. So I thought today I'd pick five more subtle glittery shoes - perfect for the party season if, like me, you'd like to tone the glitter down just a  notch.

First up are these lovely low-heeled 'Spangle' shoes from Shellys. They come in black, silver and this wonderful bronze. They're selling out fast though, so be quick to snap some up for £35.  The cute silver flats are 'Autumn' at £20 from Faith, and are a darker silver than you'll often see, toning the bling factor down a bit.

Glittereffectheels

You can still get the same sparkly effect without going for full-on glitter by using metallic suede or distressed leather. On the left is a gold (though looks quite silvery) round-toe suede court from Topshop (50), and on the right a cute red distressed faux leather peeptoe, with a sweet organza bow - just £24 at Diva.

Schuhdollyblue

One way to tone down the glitz is to opt for just a bit of sparkly detail, rather than looking like you've thrown an entire pot of  glitter at your shoes. This 'Dolly' patent and 'dotted suede' open-waist court comes in both the blue shown and a deep ruby red and looks all the more sexy for the two-tone texture.  Available for £49.99 at Schuh.
