Yay or Nay Wednesday

Yayornay_13 Last week's Victoria's Secret lace-trimmed boots were a surprising hit last week, though plenty of you gave them a nay for being a bit fancy dress-ish, there were still plenty of you willing to give them a go in all their tacky glory. So this week we'll continue that theme of sparkle, but in a slightly more subdued fashion. I'd love to know what you think of these crackle effect flats. Are you loving the festive twist, or is metallic 'like, sooooo over'? Yay or Nay and why...

I love these, and am likely to buy a pair promptly once you tell us where they're from. Big yay!

Nay. Don't know if it's just the photo that's putting me off, though. I love metallics, I love ballet flats, I even like the shape of the shoe. So I *should* be a Yay. But the colour of the flats looks a bit weird in the pic.

Yay for Loeffler Randall! I'm a fan of their collection in general, but I am still loving the distressed metallic look. (Maybe I'm just behind the times then!)

Yay! The cracked finish is a great subtle twist. Not to mention the fact that they'd go with (almost) any outfit. I love metallic shoes.

Yay, cute pair of shoes with almost a granite-like finish -- I like that the toe shape is slightly different than the ubiquitous ballet flats too.

It's a yay, I like flats, and these are very cute.

Yay. They're attractive, sleek and I love the super-glam metallic color. I could picture myself wearing them with an all black outfit.

I guess I'll be the only nay in a sea of yays. These would cute for a two year old.

yay! quite lovely, the crackle effect and the bow on the back are perfect. (is it a bow, or is it actually an ankle tie? doesn't really matter to me though, still a yay.)

yay i want them.

Posted by: L | November 8, 2006 8:44 PM

yay! Metallic flats always work for me...

Posted by: Amber | November 8, 2006 8:53 PM

Nay. I agree with Mindy, but I would go as far as 6 years old. Beyond that, no.

yay! loeffler randall makes awesome shoes. shopbop has a bunch of them...

Posted by: sarah | November 8, 2006 9:36 PM

Yay! I love everything about them, the shape, the colour, the distressed finish, the beige trimming and that cute bow at the back. I want them.

Posted by: Ania | November 8, 2006 11:42 PM

yay! but they are way too expensive

Posted by: Alex | November 9, 2006 3:46 AM

Nay. I never liked the idea of buying something new that looks like it's been worn to pieces already.

Posted by: Mirym K | November 9, 2006 6:20 AM

I have to go against the trend and say Nay, I doubt if I would even notice them in a shop even when loking for flats

Posted by: Katy | November 9, 2006 9:11 AM

Nay - too pointy!

Posted by: Deb | November 9, 2006 10:53 AM

yay! love em!

Posted by: tracey | November 9, 2006 12:11 PM

Nay - flat (arp!), weird bit on back (huk!), looks like a shiny haggis (blooooargh!)

Posted by: Arnez | November 9, 2006 7:34 PM

Oooh, love these! Usually I'm not even a fan of metallics. Where can I get these?

Posted by: Covino | November 9, 2006 11:23 PM

I don't care for the marble pattern in the leather, it makes them look uncomfortable and not logical. NAY

Posted by: Happy | November 10, 2006 12:20 AM

A definite NAY!
They look like they were taken from a kids dressing up box!

Posted by: kittya | November 10, 2006 1:13 PM

Nay. I think they're ugly and agree with some others that they might be cute on a 6 year old (even that's a reach).
