Christian Louboutin Platform Wedge
I call attention to this Christian Louboutin wedge, available exclusively at Saks.com, not so much because I love it, but because I think if it were any other designer I'd dislike it. That's not to say the only reason I like this is because of the name, but I think I only like it because of the way Louboutin has pulled it off. I usually dislike the tall, slim boot that seemingly drops right off onto a large wooden platform and chunky wedge. It seems indelicate from any other designer. But I think Louboutin's has taken that idea and used the best materials, obviously. This leather looks so soft and smooth and luxe. The simple shape of the boot looks almost like a sock right over the foot. And he must have played with the proportions of the wedge to get it just right and not clunky.
