Top 50 shoes of 2006: #46 Gwendolyn Carrie's peep toe fishskin wedge

Time for more of our top 50 shoes of the year, and coming in at number 46 is this amazing fishskin wedge we found in March. It's from one of our favourite new discoveries of 2006, Gwendolyn Carrie, and in the flesh it's one of the most stunning shoes I've ever come across. You wouldn't think fishskin would be so hardwearing as it is, and the curved wedge heel is surprisingly sexy on the foot. I still want these shoes almost a year after first coming across them!

I Lo-ove those! I remember way back when you first posted those shoes, they're absolutely gorgeous. Definitely a shoe that would convert even wedge haters.
