Yay or Nay Wednesday

YayNay.jpgI fear that it was straight to detention for Anthropologie's 'Boarding School' boots in last week's Yay or Nay, with all of you voting a resounding (if traumatised) 'Nay!'.

This week's Yay or Nay is a from a Shoewawa favourite (I'll reveal who next week!). Do these mermaid-adorned heels get to swim with the dolphins or get tossed overboard? Yay or Nay and why?

I love them :) They're ridiculous but cool! Yay.

  • Christine

Yay! I love these! Where can an American get them?

  • Lyn

oh my! Are those the new Miu Miu Mermaid shoes? I love mermaids... I'm going to have to go with "yay" and wear these with my casual outfit (SFAM jeans and simple top)

Nope. Do we live in the 17th century? No we don't so we do not need brass buckles on our toes do we? Leave the lovely shoe alone and remove the mermaids and a fabulous shoe is revealed.

Although a damn sight better than last week's nasty boot - really riled me

    ack! no! never!

I remember going to Harvey Nics when I was tiny with my mum, when Barbour was fashionable first time around and everywhere there were women in blazers with scarves covered in gold-chain prints. These women wore sensible skirts and had scary hair and moved in packs. They were so polished that they shone and I was terrified of them. They still give me nightmares.

These are the sorts of shoes those women wore: They might look interesting on paper, and quirky on a model in a highly-staged shoot - On a real actual woman outside of Country Casuals, however, they will look wrongedy wrong wrong wrong.
